Sweden Sans

Sweden has its own font! I love the idea of a national font.
This is how it looks.
Simple - Sharp - Stylish - Swedish

Kids Interior Colours 2015 - Sherbet Coloured Kids Rooms

I have found a painting which colours inspired me to think about using them in kids interior - from nurseries to teenage rooms.
Take a look - are these sherbet colours not wonderful?

Here is a room which uses all these beautiful colours in one big go! Isn't this fun?

Here is a calmer and softer approach for a nursery with a neutral grey. I think that this works for girls and boys. What do you think?

...or instead of grey what about a soft brown....?

Furniture looks great painted in this mint colour.

Lovely way to paint stripes & geometrics onto legs of tables and drawers!

Beautiful felted mobile with a hint of metallic (gold and silver) details.

How to get my child to help with chores?

It is my oldest son's birthday today - together with David Bowie, Elvis Presley, R. Kelly, Stephen Hawking, my sister and ah yes, Kim-Jong-un.
Thinking of my sons age - 14 and how old/young and size he is (he is now taller than me and has much bigger feet) I was wondering what that means to me and us as a family....

So...I stumbled upon a great article on the "Today's Parent" site about how to get my child help with chores!! It might surprise you that I think from birthday to help me in the household but it all makes sense when you read the article.
The article "the ultimate guide to chores" explains why it is a good thing to involve your child and what they can do at what age. I have four kids between ages six and 14.
I ask them to help out in our home by clearing the table, loading the dishwasher, vacuuming and tidying when company is coming. I recently introduced to the two oldest in preparing their own lunches/dinner when needed. I think it is a good thing as I like them to grow up and move away and able to do things by themselves. I see it in a way that I introduce slowly some life skills.
