Playrooms

Children have lots of stuff they play with - sometimes it is best they have a separate playroom, if you have the space.
If not than create a separate play zone.

Paint and decorate it in a way children get invited to be creative.

Walls where they can write or paint something on and tents where they can hide...

100% guaranteed by having a swing in the playroom - we also love the idea with the cluster of  lamps shades!

Creative corners - useful for being busy with crafty work...

It is such a pleasure to see little ones playing nicely together - even if it is probably more to tidy up later...

It is nice to have a place where they can be on their own - relaxing after a busy day in kindergarten or school.

Ask them what they would like to have in their room - incorporate it in your planning.
A seperate play room will make them AND you happy!

Kids Rooms in Surf Style

You can not have enough of summer holidays and specially surfing?

Why not bring your little ones hobby into his/her nursery?

Go with the flow - you don't need much details to create your very own surferworld

Keep it simple - surfers life doesn't need much

Feel relaxed and enjoy having your summer hobby around you

We like the surf decoration to white painted wood paneled walls

Colors can give the room a specific summer look and the surf board as an eye catching detail makes the holiday feeling complete.

You can use the board for different things - as an useful shelf or just for an eye catching detail.

... Parents will know when it is better not to enter ...

painted furniture in kid's rooms

You don't necessarily have to paint walls when you want to bring color in kid's rooms.

It is also fun to paint the kid's furniture in fun colours.

Keep the background simple - just the furniture should be eye catching

Funky furniture ideas bring life into the nursery and make it unique.

Watch out that the decoration fits to the coloured furniture.

Use similar colors and less decorations if the colored furniture is already very busy

If you like it calmer, choose one color to build around the scheme.

And of course it is never too late to allow your little ones to paint on their furniture... at least they know exactly what is in the wardrobe...

Just live your creativity - in the end you can be proud as nobody else has the same in their nursery!

nursery flower wallpaper

At the moment my husband and I are busy with painting the room of one of our kids before they go on holiday and Autumn arrives.

It is not easy to find the right color of paint or the right wallpaper.
I do like the idea of fresh flower wallpapers like the ones from Designers Guild and Cath Kidston.

With their bright colours and bold graphics they remind me of summer. I like that.

A good idea is to keep the furniture colour simple and pick your favourite colour out from the wallpaper an use it as an access for soft furnishing.

We love this floral backdrop - it works so well with lemon yellow furniture - it lifts the colour of the wallpaper and the room.

Bright red walls go best with white or light colored furniture. Specially powder blue sits well against floral wallpaper.

If the wallpaper is busy with lots of pattern on it, then it is a good idea to keep the furniture simple and not clutter the space with too many colours.

I love roses - there is such a huge choice of shapes and colours.

With the right furniture and decoration you can emphasize the mood of the room.

White furniture brings the shabby chic look into your home. It is an easy way to create a girlish room.

If you prefer a wallpaper in black & white it is nice to add some highlights into the room with coloured soft furnishings.
