Mothersday

It's Mothersday this weekend here in England.

Searching for a perfect card and gift for my mother, I came across these ideas which I like to share.
I thought this card was simple and meaningful, just what I like!

This jar gave me lots of ideas. A jar to be filled with little notes to your mother, saying thank you for all lovely things she done for you ... I could fill it myself or together with my sister....

What do you think?

Glitter Rooms for Sparkling Girls

Which girl doesn’t dream of being a princess? And which girl does not like pink or “glitter”?
We must admit… we love glitter as well!

Look at all these great things which are shining in glitter....
There are so many different colors… one for every taste

Colourful glitter pushes the look of a white or simple coloured room on the walls

The walls is an effectful way to decorate a girls bedroom but you could also just use sparkly soft furnishings

Or why not creating  your own sparkle decoration?

And always make sure to .....

Lego Art

Restoring crumbling walls and monuments that a child could relate to is Jan Vormann’s quest. The 26 year old has spent the last three years traveling the world using one of the most recognizable materials and past times in toy history lego!

The German artist has reinterpretation the art of restoration, who knew the small coloured lego blocks would ironically spark the idea to actually complete buildings and monuments the very things that children tend to build with them. Vormann, has truly brightened up the aesethic nature of these locations with brightly coloured plastic lego pieces and in turn inspire on lookers to stop and take note.

His work is titled ‘Dispatchwork’, and has left his mark on the streets of London, Amsterdam, New York, Germany and even Boston!

children lamps

One of the most important things in life we take for granted is light … nobody wants to sit in the dark!
That made us think about light fittings and what there is available for nurseries - and of course there is a lot we liked....

Look at his beautiful nursery setting - one of our favourites...We really love the dark wall and the golden light bulbs with stars!

The crochet lamps look great - lovely colour range too!

..they look lovely not only in nurseries - but in older girls rooms or even for yourself?

If you like to cheer up your room... use colourful lamps! These paper lanterns look great to simple solid coloured walls.

Add fun in a child's nursery - beach ball lamps!

or what about the "ballon" lamps!?

We also love the white ghostly creature pendant lamps....

We know, lamps are only a little detail but they make a rooms so much more interesting and cozy.

vintage school desks

Who didn’t love playing school when they were a child?
It was one of my favourite games at home!

Especially the old vintage school desk gives a real feel – in a positive way!!!

Vintage school desks have long left the classrooms...but found their way into our homes...
They are a stylish and contemporary way to furnish your child's room.

If your children think they do not like anything old in their room – there are modern replicas of vintage desks. You can find many on your high street.

We love them and could not get enough of them.

cozy nooks

Do you have a cosy corner at home which is only yours?

We think everybody needs a special place to relax....

or ... maybe for reading?

A corner to play... alone or with some friends... but surely not where the parents are...

Or simply a corner to be comfy & cosy?

It doesn’t mean that such a corner need to be in the house...

Maybe you decide to build your sleeping place in a corner where nobody can disturb you?
...and it is completely wrong to think such corners exist only for children! – Have a look!

We think (or actually we know) mums and dads need time for themselves.

Either in the house...

Or outside... that doesn’t matter....the important thing is to feel comfortable to relax for some hours...

We love this "sleepover" nooks - don't they look fun?!
